Wild mustard
(Brassica rapa)

aka field mustard, rape, wild turnip. This pale yellow-green flower is abundant in spring fields. Buttercups and butterweed, also abundant in spring, are both more yellow-orange. This Eurasian species is characterized by smooth, angled stems and clasping leaves. (Brassicaceae)
