Bent trillium
(Trillium flexipes)

aka nodding trillium. Unlike Jack-in-the-pulpit plants, Trillium leaves emerge at 120-degree angles, meaning they are evenly spaced. This uncommon species is the Mammoth Cave area's only white Trillium; flowers hang on stalks between and below the leaves. Other white trilliums occur in counties east of the park area. Flowers may occasionally be maroon. MC (Trilliaceae)
