Tall tickseed
(Coreopsis tripteris)

aka tall coreopsis. Reaching a height of nine or ten feet, this common composite has yellow flowers with brown centers. Lower leaves are three- or sometimes five-parted. Prefers open areas or woodland edges. Stems are smooth and may be waxy. MC (Asteraceae)
