Canada thistle
(Cirsium arvense)

This European plant is invasive in fields and along roadsides. Highly dissected   
leaves along with a spineless stem separate it from our other thistles. Flower heads  lack the "basket" of thin bracts found in Cirsium discolor. MC (Asteraceae)
