Smooth ruellia
(Ruellia strepens)

aka wild petunia; limestone wild petunia. This species is far less common than the abundant hairy ruellia, R. caroliniensis. The two species are almost identical, except that smooth ruellia has only a few short hairs on the sepals. Leaves and stem are smooth; flowers are stalked. MC (Acanthaceae)
