White pine
(Pinus strobus)

aka Eastern white pine. The only pine in the eastern US with needles in clumps of five. Branches are whorled. Grows to 110 feet; virgin stocks cut for ship-building reached twice that height. Probably not native to our area, but widely naturalized throughout the state. MC (Pinaceae)
