Osage orange
(Maclura pomifera)

This Texas native has been widely planted in fencerows and become naturalized in our area. A much-branched tree standing to fifty feet, it features milky sap, and orange-brown, furrowed bark. Fruits are round, green, softball-sized, and lumpy. MC  (Moraceae)
