Red mulberry
(Morus rubra)

A common edge tree and our only native mulberry. When allowed to grow, it occasionally reaches sixty feet in height. Leaves may be entire or deeply lobed. Lobes are pointed. MC.
The introduced white mulberry, M. alba, has smooth leaf undersides and rounded lobes, whereas this plant is hairy under the leaves. (Moraceae)
