Downy lobelia
(Lobelia puberula)

One of our two common blue lobelias. This species grows to three feet tall and is distinguished by its finely-haired stem and leaves. Tubular blue flower have five lobes, which are rounder in shape and more upward-pointing than those of L. siphilitica. Flowers do not have obvious stripes, and there are few if any leaves among the flowers along the upper stem. MC (Campanulaceae)
