Joe-pye weed, hollow
(
Eutrochium fistulosum)

This eight to ten-footer is the more common of our two Joe-pye weeds; leaves in whorls (usually 6 to 8) and dome-like clusters of pink flowers make it easy to ID. Stems are hollow. It is common to locally abundant in river bottoms and along field edges. MC (Asteraceae)
