Rough-leaved goldenrod
(Solidago patula)

An uncommon species of wet soils. Characterized  by very large basal leaves, sheathing leaf bases, stems which are angled and branched, and rough, toothed upper leaf surfaces. Stands two to seven feet. (Asteraceae)
