Blue-stemmed goldenrod

aka wreath goldenrod. Dense flowers grow all long the stem of this common one to three foot woodland species. A plant which is looped into a ring will make a wreath of yellow flowers. Stems are blue-purple, frequently waxy. Leaves are lanceolate. MC (Asteraceae)
