Bulblet fern
(Cystopteris bulbifera)
Found in wet woods, especially near limestone. Small bulblets, 1 or 2 mm wide, are frequently borne underneath the fronds. Young fronds have red stems. Bulblets are not always present. Fronds are widest at the base, tapering toward the tip. Bulblet ferns grow in profusion at the Historic Entrance to Mammoth Cave. MC (Dryopteridaceae)
