Tall bellflower
(Campanulastrum americanum)

Formerly Campanula americana. A common summer flower of open woods and edges. Each one-inch flower bears a hook-shaped style which curves upward. Leaves are toothed on the edges; plants have white sap. Stands to six feet tall. MC (Campanulaceae)
