Small white aster
(Symphyotrichum racemosum)
Formerly Aster racemosus; Aster vimineus. aka small-headed aster. Flowers are usually white, but may be pale blue or lavender. Flowers of this species are noticeably smaller than those of our other white asters; each containing 15 - 30 rays. Lower leaves are thin and grass-like.
